Psalms 32:10 “Just Do Right”
"Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in Him."
Over the years as you observe people, you’ll be amazed how often God’s words play out in the real world of people’s lives. We all have acquaintances who always seem to get “bad breaks.” But, when you really analyze the activities of those people, they put themselves in stupid situations. They are often lazy or looking for the easy way out, or they try to take short cuts instead of just doing the right thing.
As good young people, you realize the price of being a good person is to do the work, earn the stripes and go the extra mile, even when you aren’t asked. It’s important as a future leader to leave a wake of character, good actions and hard work in your youth. You’ll either build a reputation as a good person, or you’ll be seen as a slacker who hangs with the “also-rans” who just don’t understand the fundamental truths of life in “God’s World.”
The Lord keeps it simple. Do good and be a good steward, and you’ll be wrapped and protected in God’s blessing when you have faith and trust in the Creator of the world. Act wicked and you’ll have lots of woes. Seems like a pretty simple decision to me! How about you?
A personal message...
“These devotions were written to my four children, Christian, Mike, Allison and Alex. By the kids allowing these to be shared publicly, our hope is that the devotions will make a positive and eternal difference in the lives of other young people as they mature. Enjoy. Rick Isaacson”
