Numbers 6:24-26 “Peace”
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.”
There’s a reason ministers use this blessing at the end of church services. It’s just a few words, but it’s packed with positive expectation.
The Lord will bless you and all you do as you accept Jesus and God’s priorities for your life. All you add is the faith and acknowledgement of His gifts. All you do is remember to be humble and give credit where it belongs.
The Lord will keep you from harm as long as you keep God close at all times. If you face a challenge, it might just be a growth opportunity God is providing you, look for the pearl. Too often, we want to judge challenges as bad, but when they correct us and help us grow, they can be a good thing.
The Lord’s face will shine on you and watch over you; that’s just what a Father does. This one promises an eternal place on His heavenly charter. All you add is awe, respect and praise. After all, that’s the Creator of the world looking at you!
The Lord gives you peace. You have nothing to fear and no reason to worry. You have a defined purpose based on God’s gifts and blessings of strength and purpose in your life. You’ve taken the time to write down your values and goals. You have the peace of knowing you have a plan, and you have His peace.
A personal message...
“These devotions were written to my four children, Christian, Mike, Allison and Alex. By the kids allowing these to be shared publicly, our hope is that the devotions will make a positive and eternal difference in the lives of other young people as they mature. Enjoy. Rick Isaacson”
