Matthew 17:5 “Listen To Him”
“While He was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, ‘This is My Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased. Listen to Him!’”
Recently I have been reviewing a tremendous amount of personal development and success literature. After reading and reviewing the key thoughts of literally a few hundred books, it is abundantly clear that nearly all experts agree that a divine entity is important to the core beliefs of all successful people. The names of the divine guidance are called many different things, but at the end of the day, they all parallel the Bible and its core teachings. The only difference is that some of the divine entity authors don’t give credit to Jesus as Lord and Savior. Yet, the messages are clearly the same at their core as what our Father, Son and Holy Spirit teach.
In the above passage, God the Father makes Himself visible to Jesus’ disciples and states clearly in no uncertain terms, “This is My Son; listen to Him!” If you haven’t noticed, the Bible doesn’t have too many exclamation points in it. God kind of seems to feel what He says should be good enough. But in this case, He comes down from heaven and yells, “Listen to My Son!” So here’s a little advice, rather than embrace the divine entity concept or listen to the secular world, look at the source of all these messages and listen to the real God…Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The more you study, seek and listen, the more His word will change your life for the better, and you’ll never be interested in the worldly, politically correct, pressures again!!!
A personal message...
“These devotions were written to my four children, Christian, Mike, Allison and Alex. By the kids allowing these to be shared publicly, our hope is that the devotions will make a positive and eternal difference in the lives of other young people as they mature. Enjoy. Rick Isaacson”
