Matthew 19:26 “Anything?”

“With God all things are possible.”

What is it you’re planning? If you could do anything in the world, what would it be? With God, all things are possible. God’s definition of “all things” is so much bigger than any pea brain great idea we could come up with. We have little concept of what is possible, or said more simply: THINK BIG!

As you study the Bible more and understand God’s Words, you’ll find that it is important to develop faith in your requests to God. You have to ask and believe God will do it, and if it’s God’s will for you and it is asked with the right heart, it will happen. Also remember, the things God values are different from the worldly stuff we normally think we need. God wants you to focus on the things He values for eternal reasons, yet He also wants your life on earth to be happy and fulfilled. When you visit with people who are very successful, meaning faith, family, wealth and happiness doing what they enjoy in life, they nearly always have a passion for something that aligns with the will of God. The fancy words are these people are congruent with God’s will in their lives.

Does this passage mean God provides “drive-through” or “microwave” blessings? Think it today and have it tomorrow? That’s rarely how God works. He’s more a “as you sow seeds of focused effort and right heart, that’s the same extent to which you’ll reap a harvest.” When you see a person blessed, you almost always find the source of their blessings is a strong, principled “do right” attitude that is non-negotiable. Rarely will you find a person who is “all about the money” succeeding in the long term. That criminal might “have the bling” for a few moments, but God will have the last say, just watch!

So what possibilities are there for you and the rest of your life? Find your dream and set a goal to take the first step, because all things are possible!

A personal message...

“These devotions were written to my four children, Christian, Mike, Allison and Alex. By the kids allowing these to be shared publicly, our hope is that the devotions will make a positive and eternal difference in the lives of other young people as they mature. Enjoy. Rick Isaacson”
